Pioneer and most important blues musician of Minas Gerais and one of the principal of its kind in Brazil, Alexandre Araújo has a long road dedicated to music. In the seventies he traveled with his brother the musician and composer Marco Antonio Araujo for all stages of the country. In 80 years participated in the Mantra group had at the time the most important musicians of the scene - Ivan Correia, Mario Castelo, Eduardo Delgado and Laércio Villar. Then took off with the Aeroblues with partner and friend Fiúza Ney, landed in the United States, the birthplace of the Blues, and presented his show Berimblues a meeting of african-Brazilian rhythms, rock, jazz, blues, folk, flamenco, oriental music mining and regional music. He was applauded by the Americans of Alexander acknowledged that a refined technique of guitar and a strong blast of soul and feeling dedicated to Blues. In the 90s he formed the Alexandre Penna Blues Band and recruited new talent as the guitarist Paul Savino and the drummer Bola Delgado. Alexandre Araújo currently resides in Belo Horizonte and works in concerts, workshops and clubs spreading and causing cells of the blues in every corner of Brazil.
